Spelling Game
This is an online game that uses sound and visual stimulation in conjunction with the popular and recommended "Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check" method of spelling to help children improve their written language skills. This exciting and engaging online game is produced using a combination of PHP and Flash.
This is an online game that uses sound and visual stimulation in conjunction with the popular and recommended "Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check" method of spelling to help children improve their written language skills. This exciting and engaging online game is produced using a combination of PHP and Flash.
The idea of the game was drawn from wizardspell.com. Parents can create an account for a token payment to let their children hone their written language skills whilst playing an enjoyable game. While there are only 2 levels of the game on the site, the core system used for it allows developers to produce similar games quickly. For example, it is easy to change the train to a ship running away from pirates or to change the train to a space ship fighting against aliens.

Students can use a trial version before playing a real game where actual results & statistics are compiled.
Parents can use the stored lists of words grouped by difficulty levels to test their children. Alternatively, they can compose their own list. The site allows parents to monitor their children's success with reports that show all successful and unsuccessful attempts by their children.
SpellingWorkshop is a good case study that demonstrates our capabilities in creating online gaming applications.
