This impressive project was designed and developed from scratch, based upon clients' requests. Originally, Quotation Junction had fewer employees available than the number demanded. However, the project has evidently evolved into a large, ongoing development effort with 5 developers assigned full-time. This ensures that there is room for the clients' business plans and models to expand.
QJ is a B2B/ B2C lead-generation platform that aims to generate a high volume of good quality leads to its participating vendors/merchants purely on a pay-for-performance model. The lead-generation service is presently available for over 25 categories of both small- and big-ticket products and services, with more categories likely to be added in the near future.
Prospective buyers can submit generic "Request for Quotation (RFQ)" forms per product category, or product-specific RFQs. QJ helps buyers find the best supplier that can service the RFQ.
Participating suppliers pay a fee for every successful lead (RFQ) generated, which is based on the category and the locations that they are interested in getting leads from. Additionally, the cost per lead can be set by suppliers on an auction basis. Suppliers can also control their marketing spend by specifying the maximum budget on leads per month.
There are two types of suppliers: prepaid and postpaid. Pre-paid suppliers have to top-up funds in their account to continue receiving leads from QJ, while post-paid suppliers have to pay according to a monthly auto-generated invoice from QJ.
QJ tracks transaction history with feedback from both buyers and suppliers about each other. QJ also offers excellent customer service with a LiveChat and a smart ticket system.
All the content on the site is manageable via an easy-to-use CMS. The main site administrator can provide access to other users of the CMS with different roles using a rights/permissions system that allows the user to read/write/edit content.
QJ also offers revenue generating opportunities for smart web publishers who can participate in the QJ affiliate program and get more suppliers/vendors to use the lead generation service. Besides an easy to use affiliate interface, the QJ affiliate management system helps affiliates generate revenues with excellent marketing support in the form of widgets and banners. They can also get accurate reports and statistics on the performance of the various marketing creative as well as the commissions generated.

WebDevs doubles up: Records phenomenal growth in the last year
Economic downturn or not, we're thrilled to announce our exceptional growth during 2009. We're literally double the size now, both in terms of revenues as well as our team size! Equally importantly, it was a year when we delivered on some large, exciting and innovative projects, and in the process enhancing our capabilities and augmenting our strong development portfolio. We successfully executed one of the largest iPhone application development projects, involving a dedicated team of 4 iPhone developers, a designers and a team of testers who worked on this demanding application for about 10 months.
Further strengthening our mobile application development capabilities, we have now increased the size of our Android team to work on porting the aforementioned application to the Android platform.
We've also added Adobe AIR development capabilities to. After a successful Adobe AIR pilot project for a well-known client, the client has entrusted us with ongoing development of desktop applications to be used in their showrooms necessitating the formation of a dedicated Adobe AIR team.
